From Dubai to DC, New York City to London, New Orleans to Taipei, and beyond, we share our favorite foods from our travels around the world. I snapped this picture from the observation deck of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, from the 124th floor, looking up! The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world for now- Saudi Arabia has plans in place to beat it.

One of the great things about the UAE is the fresh juice selection that is available. They really do juices right here. Above is a picture of a Lemon Mint juice from More Cafe in Dubai (it’s a small chain- this particular photo was snapped in the Dubai Mall, and I’ve visited a nearby location Al Doha street too). Sometimes its hard to get the tart versus sweet balance right in the Lemon Mint, but More does it just right.

With temperatures reaching well 110F, summer in the UAE is full of lots of indoor activities. This weekend, my husband and I took a trip to Dubai, and spent most of the day in the Dubai Mall. This is much more than a standard mall with an ice rink, huge aquarium, waterfalls (pictured), and more stores and restaurants than you can imagine. The basement even hosts the entrance to the elevators of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

Yesterday, I headed to Dubai (about a one hour drive from my home in Abu Dhabi) to check out the final days of the Dubai Shopping Festival. The festival is an annual sale event where many luxury items from major international labels can be found at discounted prices. Here is a shot of the fashion area of the enormous Dubai Mall. I loved the ceiling hangings, they made the room look so pretty.
